Now that's a topic! What is it really?
In this day and age, there are so many religions popping up
that before long, every family will have their own! Don't
laugh... just look around. It is a sad thing tho.
Religion... hmmm... that seems to mean different things to different people.

"The term "religion" refers to both the personal practices related to
communal faith and to group rituals and communication stemming from
shared conviction," according to the Wikipedia online dictionary. It goes on
to state, "Religion" is sometimes used interchangeably with "faith" or "belief
system," but is more socially defined than that of personal convictions."

There are the Muslims, the Jewish, the Monks... the Christians -- who have
numerous "branches" as each wish to believe in their own way. Then, there
is the atheist, those who deny even the possibility of God as our creator. And
still, there are the ones who do not necessarily disbelieve, but just don't
know, agnostics.

In this manner, people seem to be developing one religion after another to
"justify" whatever they want. Apparently that works, as there are many
members in each of these groups.

A number of religions that are associated with "being Christian" are Church
of Christ
; First, Second, Freewill and Southern Baptist; Lutheran;
Methodist
; Episcopal; Catholic; Pentecost; and Assembly of God...among the
mass of people. They all teach there IS a God, but none can agree on
everything. Being Christian is the intended defintion of believing in "Christ"
as the human son of the God which created us.

I know without a doubt, there is a God. I know that my time on this earth
may never provide in me more than that belief. Sometimes, I think the "God"
in us is simply our conscience -- that little soul inside us that says "that's
wrong" or "that's the right thing to do". I feel I am a Christian. As far as
Christ, I believe Jesus existed. I shall leave it at that for the time being.
